Baby C is 12 Weeks Old!

We had an appointment on Wednesday and our love bug was VERY active. He/she was waving, kicking, and attempting to flip. My mom, sister and Steven went with me and it was an amazing experience. Here are a few photos from our appointment.

12 Weeks

Today I am 12 weeks pregnant! I can not wait to get into the second trimester. I heard it's the best of your pregnancy. I have been lucky, I haven't felt horrible. However, I have been exhausted almost everyday. I need a nap to just stay up to 8:30! I have a doctors appointment tomorrow for measurements then another one (regular check up) on Monday. Tomorrow my mom and sister are coming, I am so excited to see our baby. I'm looking forward to seeing a real baby with arms and legs, not a sour patch kid like last time:)

Second Place

Thanks to everyone who voted for me!!! I got second place. We had a great time tonight. My mom, mother in law Darcy, and Natalie went to Hip to Be Round for the results party. They had great food, drinks and give aways. I got second place out of over 65 contestants! I was sooo surprised and thankful; especially since not many people know I am pregnant. So thanks again to everyone who voted. And a very special thanks to my sister Natalie. It's awesome having such a supportive and involved sister. I wouldn't have known or done any of this without you:)

I had 264 votes and 1st place had 320. (1st place is pregnant with twins...so she probably needs the stuff more then me:) I won over $350.00 worth of gift cards and give aways...def things I will use!!!

Successful Doctor's appointment

Steven and I had the most amazing appointment yesterday evening. We saw our little baby and heard the heart beat. It was very strong and fast (180 beats). Our doctor pushed down harder to get a better look and the baby wiggled like a little worm. As of right now, I think our baby looks like a sour patch kid. Doctor said a gummy bear, but I love sour patch kids...so that's what I am thinking about:)

8 Weeks

Week 8 could not come soon enough...week 6 and 7 were rough. I def started feeling the "pregnant" symptoms. Now just trying to stay positive, hydrated, and keep food in my belly at all times.

We have a doctors appointment on Monday...we are so excited to hear a heartbeat and hopefully another ultrasound!

Thanks to my friend Beth for getting me these adorable stickers to stick on my stomach to tell the weeks:) LOVE THEM!!!

Please no judging. I have always wondered why women often opt out of taking the month by month pictures while pregnant. However, I now realize how uncomfortable it is having your husband take a picture of you that is going to be posted for all to stare at your stomach...oh well, here we go!

 6 Weeks

Cheyenne is looking a little pregnant as well haha. 

 Our first ultrasound appointment, Steven surprised me with the most beautiful necklace. They are baby booties!

Announcing our Pregnancy

Steven and I stopped by my parents house on the day of the initial doctors appointment. Natalie was there, and we told her we had picked something up for her from the mall. She opened the box and there was a little frame that said "I Love My Aunt" and inside said "Save the Date, June 14th, 2011" (the date we were told at first). She started screaming, my mom was confused, and I think my dad was in shock. They said they had a feeling we were going over there to tell them that, so they had champagne being chilled. We had a frame for my parents as well. We then went over to the Steven's parents house and gave his mom a bib that said "If mommy says no, ask Grandma". It was a memorable night! We called my brothers as well to tell them (Ronnie is at Virginia Tech, Bradley is at JMU). I haven't heard such joy and excitement in their voices in quite a while. We also called Steven's brother Seneca and his sister Samantha to tell them they will be an aunt and uncle next year. It is so wonderful having so many friends and family so supportive and excited with us.

Two weeks later, I couldn't wait anymore and had to tell my best friends. This was the day before second appointment (our first ultrasound). It was our friend Brad's birthday lunch/Sunday Funday for football. Sorry again Brad for "stealing your thunder" haha. Watch the video, it was Steven's idea. 

We're Pregnant!

This is our miracle at 6 weeks! 

Steven woke up and saw our dog Cheyenne laying on my stomach. He told me I "needed to take a pregnancy test". I was feeling fine; however, I took one to please Steven. I was taking a while so Steven walked in the bathroom...I was crying because it actually was positive. Steven ran around the room in circles then joined me with the tears. We are so excited for our new baby.
