Once again, my friend Beth Sawyer captured some amazing moments with my two angels. Thank you so much Beth, you have no idea how much these mean to me:)

James Everett Contomanolis

James Everett Contomanolis entered our world Monday, May 20th 2013 at 4:30 pm.
He was 9 lbs and 20.5 inches.

I went into the hospital Monday morning around 8:30 to be induced. I was 4 cm and 75% effaced. They monitored my contractions until about 2:30 when we realized I needed a little help (at this point I was around 5 cm). The pitocin kicked in and James was here in 2 hours. The day was very nice and relaxing with friends and family keeping me company. Bradley surprised me from Harrisonburg, he wasn't supposed to be able to come due to baseball Championships but somehow worked things out so he was there for the birth! There was a slight issue with my heart rate going down after the epidural, but other than that it was picture perfect. I pushed for 10 minutes and our big boy was here!
I missed my Haleigh so much! She came with Yiaya (thank you so much for watching her Monday, allowed me to relax a little more knowing she was being loved and spoiled) shortly after James was born. She ran into the delivery room with her "Big Sis" scrubs on yelling "Mommy"...melt my heart! James was not in the room, and the night turned late, so she didn't get to meet James until Tuesday morning (which may have been a good thing because by Monday evening she was cranky!). She was once again very excited to see me and Steven, said "Hi James" and moved on. She pretty much ignored him the first few days, now she is great! She woke up this morning asking for "James and Madison" (Madison is my niece, Natalie's daughter). She ran to James and hugged and kissed him.

Steven and I have never felt more complete. Yes, the first week (s) will be long and exhausting, but knock on wood, we have two healthy, happy, blessings from God.

The morning of!

Go time!
